Lessons from the last session
Taking flight:
How did the session help you think about what you want to do going forward? What did you enjoy the most about this day?
It was a very emotional and full of warmth session. We played a game in which all devil boys cheated me and my group. Then they also gave us less marks so I had to take active part from my team side.
When I joined Amal I was not that much vocal to my thoughts and also I was very hesitant to participate actively in the online sessions. But with time, I provoked myself to speak what I believe. We talked about different things in the last session like what kind of super power you needed, then I asked them to create a law in Pakistan that will implement to reduce birth rate.
What was it like to just talk and connect? Do you think it is important to connect and do things just for your emotional uplift sometimes, even without a focus on work? How do you plan on keeping in touch with your Amal Family going forward?
I am so much grateful of Amal PM ma’m Nimra. In the 2nd month of fellowship I had to face some very disturbing and life changing circumstances then at that time she as a physiatrist helped me a lot and counselled me. So during this fellowship we all shared some very emotional scenes and also the life stories of fellows helped me to get rid of pity I have always put on my life. I told myself only one thing, the more you bear, the more you put your best in your struggle, you will get more rewards. So how much you deserve only depends on your struggle.
we are recently planning to have a meet up at our possible cities.
How do you intend to use what you learnt in this fellowship in your future life?
I have a personality that desires to be improved. After my Fsc I was not able to interact with male members of society, so I got a chance to do job at a school where I opened myself to the society, obviously that was the grind work and they treated me like labours but I am so much grateful that I got this chance to improve my personality. So after that when I joined university I was not having that much confidence to work in open environment but now after 3 years I’m the girl whom the whole class and department recognize. So before joining Amal fellowship I was not that much comfortable with online systems and also with verbal language skills. So Amal polished my personality and by blogs, life maps, finding your why I got a chance to meet myself and also during my mega project work I had to face a team and also had to see different faces of world that these guys hide. So all this journey is just remarkable. So I only want to see myself to be improved day by day.
